the hutzler hustle 08'

first of all sorry for the ridiculously long post...BUT what a wonderful day! got some great things from family members and friends! THANK you all for everything definately more than i expected the best part i think is how much love is shown on this special day!!! but anyway okay seriously WHAT a fun Christmas...so those who have never seen amazing race you are in for a treat!

this year our family decided to do the 'hutzler hustle' a spoof off of the TV show amazing race! our family watches that show religiously and so one night at dinner we were talking about what we wanted to do for Christmas and it snowballed into our own little race (scavenger hunt)! so...my dad and mom went to work. stayed up till the wee hours of the morning planning, thinking and creating!!

SERIOUSLY so much stinking fun! the teams were as such: 1. jared and me 2. rebecca and rachel 3. james and carl and then my mom and dad were the ones that checked us in at the different 'pit stops' and sometimes handed us our next clues! we did so much: we sang carols, long boarded, took pictures with hats, put in order the different houses we lived in, learn 15 sec. of a dance, run around Fremont's track twice, threw two touchdown passes, kicked a field goal, ran the bleachers, counted numbers, sang at the hospital, visited our grandma and grandpa, wrote cards, juiced and drank oranges, decorated Christmas trees and most importantly made memories with our family! we got to serve others, race against each other, figure out each others strengths and AWHOLE bunch more! jared and i came in 2nd twice and the very 'last leg of the race' came in 3rd. but..we all got awesome prizes!! seriously THANK you mom and dad for making that all happen, such a fun memory! we are going to make it a tradition! CAN'T WAIT!! :)
