its all about the tap...

so recently i have been reminiscing...lookin back at all the fun things i did growin up...i had a mother that let us be involved in as many things as possible. how she did it? i have no clue! her license plate for a while was TAXI hahaahaha. i bet she felt like that all the time. however, i will always remain grateful for a mom that let us grown into our own. one of the many things my mom exposed me to was dance. i loved to dance. there is something about it that is invigorating, exhilarating, and FUN! some of the things that i loved about it when i was younger was the performing, i loved being on stage, i loved running from dance to dance, getting dressed up, and achieving something i worked so hard for! there was a short time in my youth i was in uh maybe 6 dance classes: tap, tumbling, jazz, ballet, clogging, and MORE tap! haha. i have a distinct memory of a recital that i had 2 costumes on so when i was done with one dance all i had to do was strip it off and go back on stage...hahahahaha. oh man when i think about i now, it sounds crazy. but i loved every second of it!
but part of this reminiscing comes from my little niece. she is starting dance class in a couple of weeks and i went with rebecca to go get all her stuff! she was so stinkin excited, it was so cute! so after we got it all we dressed her up and i took some pictures of her...(it was one of my favorite things my dad did, was take pictures of me when i was all dressed up in my costumes haha) so here they are! i hope this jogs some m e m o r i e s for everyone, or at least inspires some to venture out of your comfort zone and try putting your kids in something you think they might enjoy. i know for a fact my mom wasn't a dancer! but she knew that i enjoyed it and supported me through the craziness! anyway! love you all!
